We do not offer design services...but

We have over 30 years experience building custom homes and have established excellent relationships with architects. We would be happy to recommend one of our trusted architects.

Why we don't offer design services in-house?

  • Conflict of interest and objectivity. We strongly feel design and building services should be two separate entities. This establishes a transparent and objective bidding process. It also gives the homeowner control over their project from both the design and building aspects.
  • Working with an architect directly typically provides you with almost endless design options as many design-build firms have stock designs and tweak them to "fit" your project. Most of our clients prefer the freedom and creativity in working with an architect directly.
  • " A master of all is a master of none" Our success and reputation have been earned by mastering building. We are more than happy to work with your chosen architect to develop a cohesive plan that takes into account both design and building considerations.

It wouldn't be reliable or appropriate to provide a fixed or approximate cost per square foot for building a new home or remodeling because there are many variables that can affect the final cost. The cost of construction materials, labor, permits, and fees can vary significantly depending on location and other factors. Additionally, the complexity of the design, the quality of the finishes, and the level of customization can all impact the final price. Even site conditions such as soil type and topography can affect costs.

Furthermore, the cost per square foot metric does not take into account the economies of scale that come with larger homes. For example, a 2,000 square foot home may have a higher cost per square foot than a 4,000 square foot home due to fixed costs like permits and fees being distributed across more square footage.
